Pinelands Biomass Facility Harleyville

The Pinelands Biomass Facility is a 25MW (nominal) biomass plant burning wood waste. Summit was the General Contractor for this project and was responsible for all permitting, site work, SWPPP, civil/concrete (including a mass pour for the turbine), structural steel erection, above- and below-ground piping, electrical and instrument installation, buildings (control room), fire water system, and mechanical equipment installation including cooling tower, water treatment facility, SNCR, precipitator, boiler feed water pumps, and a GE steam turbine and generator. Summit was also responsible for coordination of procurement, and startup and commissioning support through COD.
